Jackie The Joker Wins Second Straight for Practical Joke
It was a second straight victory for Jackie The Joker (3f Practical Joke x Latitude Forty, by Chester House) on Friday night after winning a Maiden Special Weight last out.
Racing over 4 ½ furlongs on the Charles Town dirt in an Allowance, Jackie The Joker was off to a slow start and had over three lengths to make up by the time they hit the stretch. She was up for the challenge in the stretch and was up by a neck as the field crossed the line.
The filly has finished in the top two in her last three starts with all her races coming under the charge of Anthony Farrior for owners John Fanelli, LC Racing, and Longball Stables.
Jackie The Joker is out of the three-time New York stakes winner Latitude Forty, who has produced seven winners from seven named foals. Her own dam is the stakes placed Planchette, who produced six winners from eight to race.
Latitude Forty visited another of Ashford’s leading freshmen in Caravaggio last year.
