25th Stakes-Winner for Munnings
Lightly raced filly Shar Ran (3f Munnings x Mean Imogene, by Silver Deputy) scored her first Black Type success when taking out the $82,250 Powerless Stakes at Hawthorne.
Having just her fourth race start, Shar Ran travelled three deep and forged clear to win the six furlong sprint by a neck, the second win of her brief career.
A homebred for Suzanne Stables trained by Michael Tomlinson, Shar Ran has won over $75,000 to date.
A half-sister to stakes-placed Speightstown Belle, Shar Ran is the best of six winners from Grade II placed Mean Imogene.
