More Stakes Success for Munnings Colt

Consistent colt King Kranz (3c Munnings x Queen Congie, by Henny Hughes) broke through for his second stakes success when taking out the $100,000 Gold Fever Stakes at Belmont on Friday. Grade II placed last year at two when placed in four of his five starts, the John Terranova trained colt broke his maiden in January and has been thereabouts in subsequent runs. He settled in fourth position and found the line well to take the six furlong contest by three-quarters of a length.
