Another for Holy Roman
Holy Roman Emperor has had a season in which he could do no wrong and he notched up another black-type winner in France on Thursday when Yann Porzier saddled Petra (4f Holy Roman Emperor-Pretty, by Darshaan) to score at Saint-Cloud.
The progressive filly was stepping up from handicap company for the Listed Prix Belle De Nuit and scored by four and a half lengths under Gregory Benoist from Amerique (4f Galileo-Aquarelliste, by Danehill).
Petra, who was bred by Mlle L Oung, was scoring five days after Holy Roman Emperor’s son Morandi (2c Holy Roman Emperor-Vezina, by Bering) ran out a seven-length winner of the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud.
