Breeders Reap Rewards With Sioux Nation Filly At Goffs
Albany Stud had reason to celebrate on Sunday, when their filly from the first crop of Sioux Nation sold for €140,000 at the Goffs Foal Sale.
Altenbach Bloodstock provided the final bid for Lot 724, who received an important update when her two-year-old half-sister Elysium won the Group 3 Park Stakes. John Ryan paid just €2,800 for the filly’s dam Sonning Rose last year and sent her to the top-class son of Scat Daddy for a stud fee of €12,500.
Breeders were also rewarded for supporting Sioux Nation at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, where his first foals sold for 88,000gns, 65,000gns and 50,000gns. Alex Elliott was among the purchasers and said, “I love the Scat Daddy line, he is becoming a real sire of sires and Sioux Nation was a fast horse.”
Sioux Nation stands for a fee of €10,000 for the 2021 season.
