Calyx Colt Records Back To Back Wins With Ease
Habrdi (2c Calyx - Second Glance, by Galileo) drew clear to make it two from three for Jane Chapple-Hyam at Wolverhampton on Thursday.
The first crop son of Calyx ran out a game winner over six furlongs last month and stepped up to seven furlongs on his latest start. Ridden prominently by David Egan, the bay led approaching the two furlong marker and eased clear inside the final furlong. The winning margin was four lengths, with runners-up honours going to the Stakes-placed Gaiden.
The progressive colt is owned by Ahmad Alotaibi and was bred by Rabbah Bloodstock.
