Calyx Filly Doubles Up With All The Way Win

Imaboutago (3f Calyx – Newtown Pippin, by Dubawi) took her record to two from two when running out a commanding winner at Fair Grounds on Wednesday.

Wesley Ward’s charge was ridden to make all by Paco Lopez, as was the case on her December debut, and travelled strongly as they turned for home. Never headed, she went on to justify favouritism by three and a quarter lengths.

Imaboutago was bought by BBA Ireland as a yearling for 105,000gns and now carries the colours of e Five Racing Thoroughbreds. The first crop daughter of Calyx was bred by Ennistown Stud.
