Camelot still all the rage at Tatts

Buyers at the Goffs Orby Sale could not get enough of Camelot and that trend continued at this week’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.

Stroud Coleman Bloodstock went to 370,000gns for a Camelot filly offered by Meon Valley Stud from their famous Bella Colora family on Thursday.

Shortly beforehand, John and Jake Warren Bloodstock spent 320,000gns on another well-connected Camelot filly, a granddaughter of the smart black-type performer Misty Heights sold by Hollyhill Stud for Lady O’Reilly’s Skymarc Farm.

Meanwhile, trainer Roger Varian snapped up a 280,000gns Camelot half-brother to G1 Premio Roma winner Potemkin consigned from Newsells Park for Gestut Faehrhof.

A colt out of G2-placed Hint Of a Tint bred by Sue Ann Foley and sold from Islanmore Stud realised 240,000gns when selling to Sun Bloodstock.

Other Camelots sold for 130,000gns (Prime Equestrian), 120,000gns (Jeremy Brummitt), 100,000gns (Blandford Bloodstock), 80,000gns (Joseph O’Brien) etc.
