Canary flies for Holy Roman Emperor
Canary Row (7g Holy Roman Emperor-Fresh Mint, by Sadler’s Wells) brought home a Listed victory for Holy Roman Emperor at Killarney on Wednseday.
Home-bred by Rick Barnes at Grangecon Stud, the seven-year-old stayed on well to take the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes by a length.
“I knew he was going to run well today, although on the ratings he had it all to do,” said trainer Patrick Prendergast. "It's very important for the stud. He's home-bred, and they have the mother and siblings. I've a very happy owner.”
