Classy Calyx Colt Makes It Two From Two

Line Of Force (2c Calyx – Ligne D’Amour, by Galileo) followed up last month’s commanding debut victory with another smart performance at Carlisle on Saturday.

Karl Burke’s charge justified favouritism by four lengths and three quarters at Ripon and was sent off favourite to repeat the feat in Saturday’s six furlong novice stakes. Racing prominently under Shane Gray, he was pushed along from three furlongs out and was ridden inside the final furlong. Soon in front, he kept on well to defy a penalty by a length and three quarters.

Owned by Zhang Yuesheng and bred under his Yulong Investments banner, Line Of Force completed the first leg of a double on the card for Calyx. Stablemate Classy Boy (Calyx) shaped like there is more to come when making all to his second win of the season.
