Exciting 2yo double for Mastercraftsman

Mastercraftsman’s run of juvenile success continued on Tuesday with a double in Britain. The Jamie Osborne-trained Lush Life (Mastercraftsman-Break Of Day, by Favorite Trick) made a sparkling start to her racing career at Kempton when winning a hotly contested maiden on her debut.

A 110,000gns yearling, she hails from the family of Winter, and adds to a list of exciting 3yos to run for Mastercraftsman next year.

“She lived up to such a pedigree with a taking debut victory. The daughter of Mastercraftsman could be noted travelling strongly at the top of the straight in behind and came with a notable, sweeping move up the far rail to comfortably defeat this field,” said the Racing Post. Earlier William Haggas sent out My Lord And Master (2c Mastercraftsman-Affability, by Dalakhani) to win a decent Nottingham maiden by no less than six lengths under Danny Tudhope (pictured). “I told him there was no need to show off!” joked trainer’s wife Maureen Haggas after this runaway win.  She added: “He's an immature-looking horse and I hope he'll fill out over the winter.” My Lord And Master was bred by Anthony Stroud and James Hanly.
