First foal for Guineas winner Saxon Warrior
Saxon Warrior, the only son of sire of sires Deep Impact to be a Gr.1 winner at both 2 and 3 years, sired his first foal on Thursday in France.
The colt is the first foal out of the Galileo mare Gloriously and he was described by Guillaume Garcon of Haras de l’Hotellerie as “a correct colt with size, bone and quality.”
Saxon Warrior was one of the best colts of his generation and defeated Roaring Lion in both the Racing Post Trophy-Gr.1 and the 2,000 Guineas-Gr.1. He stands at Coolmore Stud for a fee of €27,500.
