First Saxon Warrior Foal Offered At Goffs Proves Popular
The first foal by Saxon Warrior to be offered at the Goffs Foal Sale continued the trend seen at Tattersalls when fetching €88,000 from Larry Stratton and MAB Agency.
Tom Whelan bid on behalf of his associates for the April-born bay filly offered by The Castlebridge Consignment as Lot 319. She is the first foal out of Cascella, herself a winning daughter of multiple Stakes winner and Group 1 runner-up Lily’s Angel.
Two siblings to Stakes performers are among Saxon Warrior’s representatives on the third and final session of the foal sale on Sunday. They will hope to add to his first crop’s impressive sales average of 96,000gns, while they have sold for up to 280,000gns.
A Group 1 winner at two and Classic hero at three, Saxon Warrior stood his first season at €30,000 and given his bright start in the sales ring, offers breeders excellent value in 2021 at €20,000.
