G3 success for Holy Roman 2yo
Leitir Mor (2c Holy Roman Emperor-Christinas Letter, by Galileo) broke his duck in style at the Curragh on Sunday when winning the G3 Round Tower Stakes for trainer-breeder Jim Bolger.
The classy Holy Roman Emperor colt had finished runner-up in last month’s G1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes and saw off a good field to take the Round Tower under Kevin Manning.
Bolger’s head lad Ger Flynn told irishracing.com: “Kevin said he travelled really well today like he did in the Phoenix. It's great that he's shown on the track today what he's been showing us at home. There was plenty of pace and he relaxed. It just didn't happen for him at Dundalk the last day and I think he just didn't like the place.”
