Game Holy Roman Emperor Filly Gets Off The Mark
Roman Secret (2f Holy Roman Emperor - Secret Existence, by Sakhee’s Secret) produced a determined effort to gain a deserved win at Wolverhampton on Friday evening.
The Richard Fahey-trained filly had placed on three previous occasions, including last time out over the same trip of an extended mile. Racing prominently under Jack Garritty, she was asked to quicken from three furlongs out and was ridden approaching the final furlong. Asserting inside the final furlong, she kept on well to deny the favourite Dunstan (Saxon Warrior) by a neck.
Bred by Kildaragh Stud, Roman Secret carries the colours of the Richard Fahey Ebor Racing Club. Her breeders have enjoyed a fine season with daughters of Holy Roman Emperor, having bred recent Listed winner Vischio (Holy Roman Emperor) and multiple Stakes winner Roman Mist (Holy Roman Emperor).
