Gleneagles Juvenile Registers Second Win At HQ

The progressive Mayfair Stroll (2f Gleneagles - Zadalla, by Zaha) recorded her second career win in Saturday’s Class 2 contest at Newmarket.

A four length winner when stepping up to seven furlongs in July, Charlie Hills’ charge tackled the same trip in the fillies’ nursery and raced towards the back of the field in the early stages under Kieran Shoemark. Improving to chase the leaders from two furlongs out, she was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and led by a neck on the line.

Shoemark later commented that Mayfair Stroll will improve further when stepped up to a mile. Owned by Chelsea Thoroughbreds, J Lindop and M Murphy, the daughter of Gleneagles was bred by Anthony Hanahoe and Richard Copeland.
