Holy Roman Emperor Colt Completes Hat-Trick In Style

Saturday saw L’Imperator (3c Holy Roman Emperor – La Joie, by Montjeu) complete a hat-trick of wins when taking the Prix Saunhac over ten furlongs at Toulouse.

Eight lined up for the Class 1 contest, with Alexandre Gavilan riding the eventual winner patiently, waiting until approaching the turn for home to quicken. Soon in front, the bay was pushed out under hands and heels to win by three lengths.

Trained by Didier Guillemin for Ecurie Des Mouettes, L’Imperator has now won three of his four career starts. The son of Holy Roman Emperor was bred by Jean-Pierre-Joseph Dubois and is a half-brother to Stakes performer Largent Du Bonheur.
