Letiza (Holy Roman Emperor) Wins Her Maiden At Gowran Park

Holy Roman Emperor Filly A Deserving Maiden Winner

The promising Letiza (3f Holy Roman Emperor - Spanish Berry, by Lope De Vega) gained a deserved maiden victory on Wednesday when leading home a 1-2-3 for Coolmore sires at Gowran Park.

The Johnny Feane-trained three-year-old came into the fillies’ maiden with four placings to her name, including behind subsequent Group performer Red Riding Hood (Justify). Partnered by Ben Coen on Wednesday, she raced prominently throughout the nine and a half furlongs, and was ridden into second approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well, she led close home to beat Lady Meis (Camelot) by a short head), while Time To Soar (Gleneagles) kept on in third.

Owned by the All Stars Racing Syndicate, Letiza was bred by Cyril and Michael Kelly. The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor has a two-year-old full-brother in training with Alan King.
