Holy Roman Emperor Filly Prevails In Stakes Thriller
Monday saw the progressive Roman Mist (4f Holy Roman Emperor - Drifting Mist, by Muhtathir) gain her first black-type success in the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton.
Tom Ward’s charge finished second at Stakes level on her final three-year-old start and was narrowly denied on her seasonal return over course and distance last month. Racing prominently under Richard Kingscote, she was pushed along from two furlongs out and led approaching the final furlong. Digging deep under pressure, she denied late challengers by a head on the line.
Roman Mist carries the colours of Hot To Trot Racing and was bred by Kildaragh Stud.
