My Propeller Flies Home at York
My Propeller (2f Holy Roman Emperor x Incise, by Dr Fong) continued a good weekend for Holy Roman Emperor with a cosy success in the Listed Julia Graves Roses Stakes at York.
Peter Chapple-Hyam’s charge posted an emphatic 17-length success in a Pontefract maiden in June and she once again displayed plenty of speed by racing prominently on her own down the stands’ rail.
Frankie Dettori always looked confident on the filly and she quickened well to take the lead entering the final half-furlong before being eased near the line for a comfortable length verdict over Last Bid.
The victory completed a quick-fire stakes race double for Holy Roman Emperor following An Ghalanta’s (2f Holy Roman Emperor x Alamanta, by Ali-Royal) victory in the tote.com Curragh Stakes.
