Newcomer Continues Promising Start For Saxon Warrior
Rage Of Bamby (2f Saxon Warrior - Rabiosa Fiore, by Sakhee’s Secret) became the latest first crop winner by Saxon Warrior when making a successful debut at Newbury on Tuesday.
One of 14 to line up for the fillies’ novice stakes over six furlongs, Eve Johnson Houghton’s newcomer was ridden by Charlie Bishop, who positioned the bay in midfield. Making headway from two furlongs out, she was pushed along approaching the final furlong and ran on well under pressure to lead close home.
Owned by Hot To Trot Racing and Mrs Kavanagh, Rage Of Bamby was bred by Capannacce Di Teodora Giorgi. She continues a bright start made by the first crop of Saxon Warrior, with fellow newcomer Killybegs Warrior (Saxon Warrior) impressing at Newmarket, while winner Ser Sed (Saxon Warrior) was his sire’s very first runner.
