No Nay Never Filly Wins On Racecourse Return
Make A Wish (3f No Nay Never - Saturn Girl, by Danehill Dancer) made her three-year-old return a winning one, when scoring over seven furlongs at Redcar on Monday.
The Simon Crisford-trained filly was twice placed over six furlongs as a juvenile and faced a 12-strong opposition on her first start since September. Graham Lee rode her in a prominent position, improving to lead over four furlongs from home and was pushed along from the two furlong pole to beat the well-fancied Royal Welcome by a length, with a further eight lengths back to their nearest rival.
Owned by Michael Tabor and bred by Chelston Ireland, Make A Wish is out of a winning half-sister to Group 1 Tattersalls Gold cup runner-up Livadiya, as well as the dam of dual Group 1 winner Linngari.
