Progressive Sioux Nation Filly Gets Off The Mark

The improving Champagne Sarah (2f Sioux Nation - Alice Rose, by Manduro) took another step forward to gain a maiden victory at Newcastle on Tuesday.

Mike Murphy and Michael Keady’s charge was last seen finishing a close third to three-time winner Florida Filly (Sioux Nation) and was well-supported to get off the mark on Tuesday. Held up at the back of the field by Kevin Stott, she made smooth headway to lead approaching the final furlong and kept on well to score by a length.

Champagne Sarah is owned by Ursa Major Racing and was bred by Mlf Bloodstock.
