Kingswood Flyer (Sioux Nation) Wins At Newbury

Promising Sioux Nation Juvenile Delivers At Newbury

The progressive Kingswood Flyer (2c Sioux Nation - From This Day On, by El Prado) got off the mark at Newbury on Friday and, in turn, completed a quickfire treble for Coolmore sires on the card.

The William Haggas-trained colt was sent off favourite following three promising starts and raced in touch for much of the six furlong contest. Ridden approaching the two furlong pole, he led a furlong later and kept on well to win by a head under Tom Marquand.

Owned and bred by Snowdrop Stud, Kingswood Flyer is a half-brother to Stakes performer Garrogorille (Rock Of Gibraltar) and closely related to Listed runner-up Ventura Lightning (No Nay Never).

Coolmore Stud sires took the first three races at Newbury on Friday, with newcomer Queen Of Mougins (Ten Sovereigns) impressing in the opener, while King’s Gambit (Saxon Warrior) won the mile maiden in taking fashion.
