Oujda (Sioux Nation) Wins The Group 3 Prix De Seine Et Oise

Sioux Nation Filly Records Back-To-Back Stakes Wins

Saturday saw Oujda (4f Sioux Nation – La Conseillante, by Elusive Quality) gain her second straight Stakes success in the Group 3 Prix de Seine-et-Oise at Chantilly.

Listed-placed in April, the daughter of Sioux Nation had her first run for Johnny Murtagh in August and was last seen landing a Listed sprint at the Curragh. Partnered by Stephane Pasquier on Saturday, she tracked the leaders in the early stages and was shaken up with three furlongs left to race. Ridden approaching the final furlong, she ran on well to score by a length and a half, with the same margin back to multiple Stakes winner Quinault in third.

Bred by Haras du Grand Chene and owned by Orla Murtagh, Oujda is catalogued in the Tattersalls December mares Sale. She hails from the first crop of Sioux Nation.
