Saxon Warrior Colt Doubles Up In Class 2 Contest
Ser Sed (2c Saxon Warrior - Lady Livonia, by Frankel) gained a second success in Saturday’s Class 2 contest over seven furlongs at Lion D’Angers.
The Joel Boisnard-trained colt was Saxon Warrior’s very first runner in April and provided the freshman sire with a perfect start when scoring over the minimum trip. Stepping up in trip at the weekend, he was settled in midfield by and was asked to quicken turning for home. Making good headway in the straight, he ran on well to lead close home and led by three parts of a length on the line, with another four lengths back to the third.
Owned by Azeddine Sedrati and Jean-Claude Seroul, Ser Sed was bred by Gestut Ammerland. He is one of three debut winners so far from the first crop of Saxon Warrior, with Rage Of Bamby (Saxon Warrior) winning at Newbury earlier this week, while Killybegs Warrior (Saxon Warrior) beat a short-priced favourite at Newmarket.
