Saxon Warrior Colt Storms Home On Debut
Ghazzwaan (3c Saxon Warrior - Kinaesthesia, by Sea The Stars) reproduced the promise he showed at the breeze-up sales to make a winning debut in Saturday’s maiden at Jebel Ali.
The first crop son of Saxon Warrior was sold by Brown Island Stables at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, where he was knocked down to Satish Seemar for 210,000gns. Now trained by Bhupat Seemar for Mohammed Khaleel Ahmed, he was partnered by Tadhg O’Shea on his racecourse bow and tracked the leaders for much of the mile contest. Producing a smart turn of foot, he ran on strongly inside the final furlong and led close home to win by a neck, with another three and a half lengths back to the third horse.
Ghazzwaan is the first foal bred by Miss Kirsten Rausing out of her homebred winner Kinaesthesia.
