Saxon Warrior Colt Wins In Good Style On Debut
Immortal Knight (2c Saxon Warrior - Pour Deux, by Dansili) shaped like a useful prospect when making a winning debut at Kempton on Wednesday.
The Roger Varian-trained colt was one of ten to line up for the Novice Stakes over a mile and raced prominently throughout under Raul Da Silva. Shaken up to lead inside the final furlong, he ran on well to score by a length, with another two and a half lengths back to the third.
Immortal Knight was bought by his trainer as a yearling for 300,000gns and now carries the colours of Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum. Bred by J Kehoe, he hails from the second crop of Saxon Warrior.
