Saxon Warrior Filly Extends Unbeaten Record
A step up in class may now be on the cards for Rage Of Bamby (2f Saxon Warrior - Rabiosa Fiore, by Sakhee’s Secret) after making it two from two in fine style on Tuesday.
The Eve Johnson Houghton-trained bay made a winning debut in June, with the runner-up subsequently winning and later finishing second at Group 3 level. Sent off favourite as she stepped up to seven furlongs, she made all under Charlie Bishop and was shaken up approaching the final furlong. Soon clear, she ran on well on to score by three and a half lengths.
Rage Of Bamby was bred by Az Agr Capannacce Di Teodora Giorgi out of Rabiosa Fiora, whose Churchill filly will be offered at the SGA September Yearling Sale later this week. Owned by Hot To Trot Racing and Mrs Kavanagh, she continues a successful start at stud by Saxon Warrior, whose first crop also includes listed winner Victoria Road and Group 2 performer Thornbrook.
