Saxon Warrior Filly Makes All To Stakes Success
Sans Voix (2f Saxon Warrior - Blarney Stone, by Peintre Celebre) made all to record a first Stakes success in the Listed Grand Criterium de Bordeaux on Tuesday.
The Edouard Monfort-trained filly bolted up by five lengths on debut and went on to finish a close second in a Listed race next time out. Remaining over the mile trip at Bordeaux, she broke well under Maxime Guyon to lead the field. Quickening after turning for home, she ran on well to win by a length and a quarter, with another three and a half lengths back to the favourite in third.
Owned and bred by Wertheimer et Frere, Sans Voix is a three-parts sister to fellow Listed winner Muette (Deep Impact). She hails from the second crop of Saxon Warrior, for whom she becomes a fourth Stakes winner. The exciting young sire is responsible for 15 Stakes horses to date, three of them Group 1 performers.
