Son Of Holy Roman Emperor Rises To The Challenge
Privilege (3g Holy Roman Emperor - Two Days In Paris, by Authorized) impressed when overcoming trouble in running to gain his maiden win at Tipperary on Monday.
Shane Foley’s mount was travelling well in the closing stages of the seven and a half furlong maiden, but faced a wall of horses with two furlongs left to race. Switched right entering the final furlong, he quickened between rivals to lead from 110 yards out and ran on well to win by a length and a half from Got The Moves (Vadamos).
The Jessica Harrington-trained bay had finished third on both his previous starts in Leopardstown maidens and Foley believes there may be more to come. “He has really progressed from run to run, and surprised me today how well he did it. I think he could be a decent horse.”
Owned by Alpha Racing, the son of Holy Roman Emperor becomes the first winner out of black-type performer Two Days In Paris.
