Son Of Saxon Warrior Bolts Up On Second Start

Germanic (3f Saxon Warrior – Alice Liddel, by Dark Angel) could hardly have been more impressive when winning his second start by 11 lengths on Friday evening.

The William Haggas-trained three-year-old was sent off a short-priced favourite for the first division of the seven furlong novice stakes at Newcastle, and made all of the running under Tom Marquand. Drawing clear before the final furlong, he was pushed out to win in comfortable fashion.

Highclere Agency’s 320,000gns yearling buy is owned by Isa Salman Al Khalifa. The second crop son of Saxon Warrior was bred by Michael Buggie.
