Son Of Sioux Nation Doubles Up At Doncaster

Indian Dream (2g Sioux Nation - Cynthia Calhoun, by Exceed And Excel) gained his second career success on the first day of Doncaster’s St Leger meeting.

Michael Bell’s charge gained a maiden victory at Epsom in July and had finished a close second on both his starts since. Sent off second favourite for the Class 2 contest, he raced towards the back of the field under Ryan Moore and was asked to quicken from three furlongs out. The bay made good headway to dispute approaching the final furlong and asserted when asked, going on to score by a neck.

Speaking after the race, the team’s travelling head lad Ian Smith said, “We thought Indian Dream was a nice horse at the start of the year. He kept staying on and should go on from this.”

Indian Dream is owned by Mrs Corbani and was bred by Albert Sherwood and Pat Connell.
