Son Of Sioux Nation Gains Deserved Maiden Win
Cobalt Blue (3g Sioux Nation - Impressionist Art, by Giant’s Causeway) gained a well-deserved win in Monday’s mile maiden at Brighton.
Roger Varian’s charge was a promising juvenile, finishing second twice, including to the now highly-rated Chartwell House (Churchill). Placed on his last two starts, he was well-supported to get off the mark on Monday and raced prominently throughout under David Egan. Pushed along approaching the two furlong marker, he was ridden a furlong later and led inside the final 110 yards. Keeping on well, he won by a length and a quarter, going away.
Bred by Ms Caterine Dargan, Cobalt Blue is owned by C Fahy, R & S Marchant and partner.
