St Lawrence Stretches To €450,000 For Sioux Nation Filly
Sioux Nation was responsible for a trio of six-figure sales at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale, led by Oliver St Lawrence’s €450,000 purchase of a Sioux Nation filly from the Bloodstock Connection.
After revealing his purchase had been made on behalf of Fawzi Nass and partners, the agent said, “She is a magnificent filly with a lovely attitude; even with a lot of commotion around her, she was as cool as a cucumber. She did a good breeze and, even though her pedigree is a little light, she deserved to make this price.”
A trainer remains undecided for the bay, who had been bought by Emma Chilcot and Get In The Game as a yearling for €90,000.
Manoel Marques was another consignor who enjoyed an impressive return on his yearling investment when selling his Sioux Nation colt to Blandford Bloodstock for €160,000.
Sioux Nation’s final offering of the day, a colt from Longways Stables, was knocked down to Mandore International Agency for €130,000.
