Stakes Aim For Sioux Nation Filly After Curragh Win
Saturday saw All Things Nice (2f Sioux Nation - Similu, by Danehill Dancer) follow up last month’s maiden victory with a game win at the Curragh.
Successful over a mile on her second start, the Joseph O’Brien-trained bay dropped back to six furlongs on the Irish Oaks undercard and was sent off favourite under Mikey Sheehy. Making all the running, she was asked to quicken approaching the final furlong and was ridden out to prevail by a neck on the line.
“She was tough,” the winning trainer said. “She's a nice filly, she's hopefully progressive and will probably go into stakes company now.”
Owned by E&S Racing, All Things Nice was bred by Lynch Bages, Edgeridge and Glenvale Stud. She continues a smart start at stud by top-class two-year-old Sioux Nation, whose first crop also includes Group 2 performer Matilda Picotte (Sioux Nation) and Chesham Stakes third Lakota Sioux (Sioux Nation).
