Talented Son Of Sioux Nation Lands Valuable Prize
Brave Emperor (3g Sioux Nation - Roman Gal, by Holy Roman Emperor) added a valuable prize to his impressive record when winning the £60,000 “Road To The Kentucky Derby” Conditions Stakes at Kempton.
A three-time winner as a two-year-old, Archie Watson’s charge was last seen winning a Listed race in France and boasted an official rating of 101 on Wednesday. Racing prominently under Luke Morris, he was ridden to lead from two furlongs out and kept on strongly to deny Alzahir by a head on the line.
Owned by Middleham Park Racing, Brave Emperor has now won five of his seven career starts. Bred by Caroline Hanly and Sean Ronan, he is one of four Stakes winners from the first crop of Sioux Nation.
