Wind Chimes another top 2yo for Mastercraftsman
Unbeaten juvenile Wind Chimes (2f Mastercraftsman-Militante, by Johannesburg) confirmed herself a hugely-exciting prospect for Mastercraftsman when winning in Listed company at Chantilly on Tuesday.
Trained by Andre Fabre for Derrick Smith and partners, she won with ease on her debut at the same course on October 30, and ran away with the Listed Prix Herod over seven furlongs by three and a half lengths on Tuesday.
Pierre-Charles Boudot was in the saddle for both wins and, after this latest success, told JDG: “She gave me a very good impression and she is all good. She pleased me on the all-weather and she has done it there on the turf.
“She got into a good rhythm and did it so easily that it was like a bit of work. I think she’ll progress next season and get a mile.”
A €130,000 yearling, Wind Chimes was bred by Haras des Monceaux.
