Wootton Bassett Filly Secures Third Stakes Success

Speak Of The Devil (4f Wootton Bassett - Moranda, by Indian Rocket) was widely considered the class contender in the Listed Prix Isola Bella at Saint-Cloud on Sunday and subsequently proved so, as she stretched three lengths clear of her rivals.

The Frederic Rossi-trained bay was sent off favourite for the mile contest, with two Stakes wins to her name and two narrow defeats at Group 1 level. Positioned behind the leaders by Stephane Pasquier, she produced a strong challenge after the two furlong marker and soon asserted, before striding clear.

Owned by Rashit Shaykhutdinov, the daughter of Wootton Bassett was bred by Herve Viallon.
