Starspangledbanner was a top-class performer in two continents, winning Gr.1 races over 5½, 6 and 8 furlongs. He’s showing similar versatility as a stallion, with Group winners from 5f to 10½f, and it is also underlined by the fact that his 28 northern hemisphere-bred Stakes winners are out of mares by 24 different stallions.

His 4-time Gr.1 winner State of Rest is out of a mare inbred 3x3 to MR PROSPECTOR and the smart 2YO Castle Star is another with a dam inbred to MR PROSPECTOR. Gr.3 winner Hermana Estrella is out of a grand-daughter of SPEIGHTSTOWN. ELUSIVE QUALITY sired the second dam of Flotus and RAVEN’S PASS sired the dam of Exxtra.

HIGH CHAPARRAL sired the dams of Gr.1 winners The Wow Signal and California Spangle and Gr.2 winner Papilio. Starspangledbanner has two SWs out of GALILEO mares. His 2023 2YO Group winners Carla’s Way and Laulne have dams by NEW APPROACH and MONTJEU respectively. He also has a Gr.3 winner from a HURRICANE RUN mare.

Starspangledbanner’s Gr.1-placed Great Wide Open, is out of a DANEHILL mare and his Gr.2 winner Carla’s Way has a 2nd dam by DANEHILL, while his Gr.1 American Oaks winner Rhea Moon has a dam by FASTNET ROCK.

PIVOTAL sired the dams of Gr.3 winner Spangled and Australian Gr.2 winner Brooklyn Hustle, and it was Pivotal’s son EXCELLENT ART who sired the dam of Gr.2 winner Aloha Star.

Starspangledbanner has an Australian Gr.2 winner with a dam by GIANT’S CAUSEWAY.

It was an INDIAN RIDGE mare which produced his Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Millisle.
