His first two crops contained only 24 and 18 foals. Nevertheless, he has succeeded in siring six top-notch Gr.1 winners, as well as a string of classic performers and one of Europe’s leading 2YOs of 2022.

Mares by ELUSIVE CITY, a son of ELUSIVE QUALITY, have done particularly well with Wootton Bassett, producing Gr.1-winning sprinter Wooded and classic-placed Mageva. Inbreeding to GONE WEST is paying significant dividends with him, as Wooded, Chindit, The Black Album, Trident and Wootton City all have two lines.
Wootton Bassett has quite a few black-type winners with two lines of DANZIG. Gr.1 winner Audarya has a second dam by ANABAA. OASIS DREAM sired the dam of Gr.2 winner Chindit. Gr.3 winner The Black Album has a grandam by CAPE CROSS.
