Exciting Son Of Walk In The Park Delivers On Rules Debut

Exciting point-to-point recruit Mt Fugi Park (5g Walk In The Park - The Real Athlete, by Presenting) made a winning start for new connections in Sunday’s maiden hurdle at Ffos Las.

The son of Walk In The Park was bought by Jonjo O’Neill and Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for £290,000 after impressing at Belharbour on debut for Donnchadh Doyle. Racing over two miles and six furlongs on his rules debut and first start since February, he raced in touch for much of the way under Jonjo O’Neill Junior and improved into second from three out. Ridden to challenge at the second last, he disputed at the final flight and kept on strongly to score by a length and a half. The beaten favourite, a previous bumper winner and impressive point-to-point winner, finished 15 lengths clear of the third.

Owned by Tanzanite, Mt Fugi Park was bred by Vincent and Jimmy Lawler.
