Exciting Son Of Walk In The Park Delivers On Rules Debut
Pricey point-to-point purchase Walks Like The Man (5g Walk In The Park - Nifty Nuala, by Saddlers’ Hall) made a smart start for new connections in Saturday’s bumper at Newton Abbot.
The son of Walk In The Park was bought by Milton Harris in February for £225,000 following his win between the flags for Colin Bowe. Sent off favourite on rules debut, he travelled strongly throughout under Jonathan Burke and eased into the lead with three furlongs left to race. Ridden inside the final furlong, he kept on well to win by two lengths going away.
Walks Like The Man was bred by Mark Grace and is a half-brother to Listed-winning hurdler Mack The Man (Flemensfirth).
