First Crop Stakes Winner For Vadamos

Spycatcher (4c Vadamos - Damask, by Red Clubs) produced a flying finish to land the Listed Kachy Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday.

Racing towards the back of the field under Clifford Lee, the Karl Burke-trained bay raced wide on the turn for home and was ridden to challenge approaching the final furlong. He produced an impressive turn of foot to lead close home and deny stablemate Lord Of The Lodge by a neck.

Saturday marked a third career success for the Highclere-owned colt, who had been Group 3 placed on two previous occasions. From the first crop of Grange Stud sire Vadamos, he was bred by Tally Ho Stud, who sold him as a two-year-old for 90,000gns.
