Future Looks Bright For Walk In The Park Mare
Walk Of The Roses (4f Walk In The Park - Koko Rose, by Beneficial) displayed a likeable attitude when rallying for a debut victory in the mares’ bumper at Ffos Las on Monday.
David Pipe’s newcomer was sent off second favourite for the two mile contest and led for much of the way under Jack Tudor. Headed approaching the three furlong marker, she was ridden to regain the advantage and rallied bravely inside the final furlong, despite being carried left by her rival. She asserted in the final 110 yards and kept on well to win by a length and three quarters.
Walk Of The Roses is owned by the Value Racing Club and was bred by Eclipse Bloodstock. The daughter of Walk In The Park is a half-sister to black-type hurdler Ziggy Rose (Fame And Glory).
