Hard Dealt (Walk In The Park) Wins On Debut At Loughrea

Newcomers Complete Four-Year-Old Double For Walk In The Park

Hard Dealt (4m Walk In The Park – Princess Bella, by Presenting) was one of two debut four-year-old winners by Walk In The Park on Sunday when making a winning debut at Loughrea.

The Sean Doyle-trained bay was sent off favourite for the four-year-old mares maiden and raced in midfield for much of the way under Jamie Scallan. She improved to join the leader at the third last and was ridden after turning for home. Asserting after the last, she kept on well to win by two lengths, with another eight lengths back to the third.

The performance earned her a trip to the Tattersalls Cheltenham May Premier Sale. The smart prospect was bred by Martin Doyle out of a half-sister to Graded performer Sempo (Oscar) and Aqua Dude (Flemensfirth).

Meanwhile, at Bartlemy, the Donnchadh Doyle-trained Lady Kluck (4m Walk In The Park – Dream Function, by King’s Theatre) ran out a game winner of the four-year-old mares maiden.

Jumping well throughout under Brian Lawless, she led from the sixth fence and prevailed when challenged from three out, keeping on well to win by a length. The daughter of Walk In The Park was bred by Bernard and Owen Cloney out of their homebred full-sister to Captain Chris.
