Son Of Wings Of Eagles Gains Second Success In Style
Coco Jack (2g Wings Of Eagles - Bright Morning, by Storm Cat) recorded his second and most impressive victory at Beverley on Saturday.
Successful on his second start last month, George Scott’s charge finished second next time out and was sent off favourite for the novice stakes over seven and a half furlongs. Ridden to make all by Ben Curtis, he was pushed clear inside the final furlong and ran on to win by two and a half lengths, with the second finishing four and a half lengths clear of the third.
Coco Jack was bred by Stuart McPhee, who also part-owns the improving gelding. He hails from the second crop of Beeches Stud sire Wings Of Eagles, whose first runners include Stakes winner Blue Wings, four-time winner Jolienene and hurdle winner See My Eagle.
