Vadamos 1-2 In Rated Novice Hurdle

Foxfire Glow (5g Vadamos - Fabiola, by Medicean) led home a 1-2 for Grange Stud sire Vadamos in Thursday’s Rated Novice Hurdle at Tramore.

Successful in a maiden hurdle last time out, Gordon Elliott’s charge was sent off favourite to follow up under Mark Walsh. Racing in touch, he led after the third last and was pushed along when challenged at the next. Ridden approaching the final flight, he ran on well to beat Bynx (Vadamos) by a length and a quarter.

Foxfire Glow is owned by JP McManus, having been bought for €315,000 after finishing a close second for Francois Nicolle. The improving bay five-year-old was bred by Earl Elevage des Loges.
