Vadamos Colt Defies Career High Mark At Goodwood
The progressive Oo De Lally (3c Vadamos - In Dubai, by Giant’s Causeway) recorded his fifth career success in a Class 2 contest on the final day of the Goodwood Festival.
Sent off with a career-high mark of 102, the Andrew Balding-trained bay was held up in the early stages by William Carver and made good headway from three furlongs out. Pushed along a furlong later, he was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and kept on well to win by a length.
“He's got a lovely attitude,” the winning rider later commented. Owned by J Palmer-Brown, Oo De Lally has won five of his 11 starts, having been placed in another two. The first crop son of Grange Stud sire Vadamos was bred by Michael Ryan of Al Eile Stud.
