Walk In The Park Continues To Lead The Way At Tattersalls Ireland
Walk In The Park sired his third consecutive session topper at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale on Tuesday, when Yellowford Farm’s star colt was knocked down to Aiden Murphy and Glenvale for €100,000.
“He looked like the best foal of the day,” Murphy later declared. “We have found it hard to buy anything today and we thought he was the one. You don't get a cheap one by Walk The Park!”
The March-born bay continued the Motherway family’s success with Walk In The Park, with their Yellowford Farm having previously sold another two six-figure foals by the Grange Stud sire. Their latest success story was bred by Paul Motherway, wife Michelle and his father Frank out of La Bella Roma, herself a half-sister to Listed bumper winner Vegas Blue (Getaway).
After the sale, Paul Motherway said, “Right from the start he has been a real, strong-bodied, good-moving and easy-to-do horse. He has been a pleasure to deal with and every time he came out of the stable since he got here, he was better and better, he thrived on showing.”
Borris House also enjoyed a successful sale with their Walk In The Park colt, who sold to KCS Bloodstock for €72,000. Walk In The Park’s fillies also proved popular on the day, selling for €68,000, €67,000, €56,000, etc.
